Circles of Peace
Circles of Peace are a place of self-generated discovery, leadership and joy. They create a space for you to nurture your gifts for personal and communal regeneration.
In a world filled with crisis and division, these circles encourage you to turn courageously towards hardships without hardening your heart. They also hold a mirror to the beauty and joy around you and within you, right here, right now.
You are invited to enter a space filled with self-generated beauty and personal significance. Imagine being surrounded by vibrant ribbons, allowing you to express yourself freely, dance, and move toward joy while gaining clarity about your next steps.
Circles of Peace highlight the importance of healthy boundaries, enabling your authentic self to thrive. They help you increase your capacity for your emotions and transform them into wise actions.
These are a place for you to explore your spirituality. Spirituality can be seen as nurturing the heart with love and wisdom. Our interest in spirituality often emerges from moments of crisis. You are encouraged to confront truths while resisting the urge to shut down-and even perhaps, using crisis to calalyst your gifts and develop into a more compassionate and creative human being. Within these circles, you can find renewal and purpose, because renewal and purpose are within you.
We make Circles of Peace to enrich ourselves in both challenging moments, and in moments of relative ease. In our times of challenge, we fortify ourselves with expanded awareness of our connections to our mental, physical and emotional support. When we feel at ease, we increase our well-being through conscious honoring, rejoicing and gratitude for the Circle of Peace we are held within.
Make the Circle your Own: Journal in your Circle of Peace
We begin by journalling and reflecting upon each category so the meaning becomes personal. In Circles of Peace we use ribbons create a plan view diagram of a boundary bubble that you can place yourself within. Each color symbolizes people, places and things that are protective and inspiring. They represent the protectors that you are inviting into your consciousness for guidance and support. Then through visualization we will create the diamond sphere of protection that you can return to as often as is beneficial.
You can imagine that this bubble is made of a diamond, and that each color is like a glint of light that sparkles as you turn the diamond in space.
For this exercise you will need:
A private, safe space
A pen and paper
Your Circle of Peace
An imaginative and open mind
As you become more familiar with Circles of Peace, you can adapt the exercise to suit your needs. For example, you could choose to focus on just a few colors if you want to emphasize certain protectors in your life. Each day you might include a different color combination to see how that changes your experience.
Meditate with one archetype from your Circle of Peace.
This meditation is rooted in Buddhist preliminary practices and includes visualizing a meditation bubble surrounded by a protective fire, or protective substance of your choosing. Then, the instructions will have you invite in the presence of the archetype. After that the meditation follows these steps:
Imagine what it’s like to be free from distorted emotions
Imagine other people who are struggling and what it would be like to be able to help them
Clear up regret in your life
Rejoice for your beneficial qualities and actions
Exchange gifts with the presence
Ask for continued blessings
Create a room in your heart for the presence to be in, and invite it in
Send light rays from your heart to the whole world
This is one way to imagine inhabiting your circle. There are many ways, and in the future more meditations will be included here.
What ways does your imagination want to activate the Circle?
